Hi Adam, great video Not many sword (Japanese), primarily beginners/intermediate, know about the left/right meaning of the handle The warrior, his entire family and the clan he represents can be considered “at war” for the display of the sword being to the right with the handle Honor and Disgrace is everything within the warrior’s code If you bring dishonor to yourself, you do so also to your own house and that of your master The only way to restore that honor, in the old days, was to perform Sepuku I hope you don’t mind me adding all this to your video documentary but it was very inspiring and motivated me to share I’m by far no expert, just an aging warrior on the journey of Bushido Many blessings to all Comment from : GenchiDojo09 |
