Alan McKinnon
That is quite a transformation, well done! I'm curious about the age of this piece, and the movement - the bezel turns in both directions so it's a "skin-diver" rather than a full diver as we know them today? But the movement, so tiny Why would Seiko use something so small?brbrIt's definitely a unique piece
Comment from : Alan McKinnon

Briandrum
That band is probably the ugliest band I think I have ever seen It's a shame too, the watch itself is gorgeous! To each their own!
Comment from : Briandrum

Kliment Ognianov
Incredible transformation indeed! I'm working over the same model since a week, it's a real pleasure to see that beast becomes alive again!brGreetings!

Power Surge
I would have just thrown the whole watch in wd40 or evaporust!!! Also, that movement looks tiny Did they have a bunch of ladies watch movements left over and say, "Let's make some manly divers watch with them"??

I have a couple of Seiko watches - both quartz #1 is a Divers 150, bought in 1978, and #2 is the watch now called an 'Arnie', bought in 1985 Both look like new and both keep excellent time, it really makes me wonder why I have another $20000+ worth of watches BTW, what is the 'magic lever' at 29:17?

I used to repair watches as a hobby years ago but when my hands/fingers became arthritic I sold my parts cleaning machine to get it out of temptations way to carry on, I was dropping tools and parts in to the movements! 😊brbrHave to say though, I've never seen a loppier watch and movement!- All that DNA 😲 🤮brbrFabulous job as always!!

Night Hatch
A very interesting video But, you forgot to film the most important part The actual cleaning of the watch and the rust removal Even if you put the parts in an automatic watch cleaner, film about 1 minute of it in action… :)

I think I have the same watch except my crown is straight out the side I’ve had that watch for at least 40 yrs It broke on me several years ago and the jewelers back then wouldn’t touch it They told me if I had to have it fixed I would have to send it back to the factory and it would cost more than it was worth This was the first good watch I bought because I was starting to dive then It looks well warm, the whole insides are loose

A rich uncle gifted me with a Seiko diver's watch when I was in grade 5 It was too big & heavy for me So I told my uncle I'll give to my father instead My father liked it so much, he wore it everyday My Father passed away last July 10 Now I wear the watch I was gifted after 40 years! Seiko Diver's watch really last!
Comment from : Peter Ungson

Motorbus57
Do you restore just your own? Or is it a business where you do other restorations ? I have a 1976 Seiko Quartz that needs either replacement per or restoration
